Design Capabilities

Combat Displays' engineering team can design a system to meet your requirements. A custom solution using the foundation of our proprietary systems can accommodate any video format and scale to many common output display resolutions. Our systems are also capable of operating as "smart" displays to provide data and graphics pre-processing. Systems can be tailored to process data from a multitude of input sources and sensors for a complete data processing solution.

The System

Combat Displays' ruggedized LED illuminated rear projection display system is a precision engineered, military tested rear projection solution, capable of displaying both military and commercial video formats. Designs integrate Pixelworks' state-of-the-art image scaling devices and reflective MEMS modulator processing panels with SCRAM Technologies' revolutionary SCRAMscreen® technology, optics and LED illuminator.

The Technology

Today, reflective MEMS modulator panels recreate source material with fidelity that analog systems cannot match. Combined with Pixelworks DNXT™ (Digital Natural Expression) technology, a dramatically clear, quality image can be reproduced for both standard and high definition inputs. With the integration of LED illumination as the light source, an all solid state design is possible with significant increases in MTBF and drastic reductions in power consumption, weight and cooling requirements.
